Normally there is no way I would ask a professor for any favors but I am in a desperate situation in your class. I really appreciate you taking some time out of your day and letting me come to your house to discuss my grades. Here is the situation, I am doing so poorly in your class that my step-dad has threatened to stop funding my college education. I don't want to have to go get a job in order to go to school so maybe there is a way you can help me. I promise to do better in your class if you can help me out of this by raising my grade even just one letter. I will do anything, and I mean anything for this favor. I won't tell anyone about our secret arrangement. My step-dad will think I did extra credit and so will my room mate back at the dorm. Let me show you exactly what I have in mind to earn that grade.
